An experimental marketing project testing generative AI tools. Under tight credit limits, I used an image-to-video workflow, AI voice, and automated music to build a zero-budget EasyJet concept ad edited in DaVinci Resolve.

Intro & Results

Testing the Boundaries of AI Marketing

The objective of this project was to stress-test modern Generative AI tools in a fast-paced marketing environment. Acting as a one-person production agency, I used AI to generate all visual footage, voiceovers, and background music, bringing them together inside DaVinci Resolve.

The concept follows a universally relatable narrative: a worker instantly escaping a soul-crushing office job into vacation mode with EasyJet. Operating under a strict constraint of limited tool credits, I had minimal room for trial and error. The project proves that despite technical limitations, rapid, automated conceptualizing is fully viable for modern advertising.

Image Generation

Cost-Efficiency Through Image Priming

Because generating AI video directly from text consumes a high amount of credits and often yields unpredictable results, I engineered a highly cost-effective workflow. I started by generating static "First Frames" using the Nano Banana model via Google Gemini.

Through precise prompt engineering, I locked in the exact composition, lighting, and aesthetic for our two main scenes (the office and the beach). This phase ensured that the visual foundations matched my exact creative vision before spending a single video credit.

Video Generation

Motion via Image-to-Video Pipelines

With the aesthetic locked in, I imported the static Nano Banana images into Kling AI to generate the final footage. By utilizing an image-to-video workflow rather than relying on pure text, I could meticulously prompt-engineer the exact actions and camera movements I wanted. This significantly reduced unpredictable AI anomalies and allowed me to maximize every single video credit.

Audio Synthesis

Layering Soundscapes with Specialized AI

The auditory landscape was built from scratch using two separate generative platforms to create contrast across the narrative:

Voiceover

I used ElevenLabs to audition and select an authentic, high-reconciliation voice clone that perfectly matched the energetic and accessible tone of an EasyJet ad.

Soundtrack

To instantly trigger "vacation mode" the second the worker escapes the office, I used Suno to compose a positive, uplifting jazz track that immediately shifts the emotional energy of the commercial.

Post-Production

Refining AI Raw Assets in DaVinci Resolve

The final step was stitching the disparate AI outputs into a polished, cohesive commercial using DaVinci Resolve. To mask the raw nature of the AI clips and make the commercial feel premium, I performed localized color corrections, added drop shadows, and integrated authentic EasyJet branding elements.
