This spec ad uses AI inpainting to seamlessly morph diverse environments around a single, pixel-locked running shoe. The sequence transitions through six hyper-textured biomes before culminating in an explosive, slow-motion rain climax.

Intro & Results

Environmental Metamorphosis

The core objective of this project was to stress-test advanced generative continuity under strict structural limits. Acting as a one-person digital production agency, the goal was to keep a running shoe asset 100% pixel-locked in frame while forcing the surrounding lighting vectors, weather elements, and terrain to morph seamlessly across eight distinct biomes.

Storyboard

Hand-Drawn Blueprints & Sketches

To maintain exact layout discipline before generating any digital assets, I hand-sketched the storyboard frames myself. This foundational step allowed me to manually map out the camera's low-angle side profile, grid placement, and composition scale, ensuring the shoe's trajectory and spatial boundaries were perfectly locked down before introducing AI tools.

Image & Video Generation

The Feedback Loop Pipeline

The visual pipeline relied on an interconnected generation loop to bypass AI drift:

The Core Motion

I first generated a dynamic base video file to lock down the organic leg movement.

Plate Isolation

I extracted an exact high-resolution frame grab from this video to act as my permanent visual mask.

Environment Inpainting

Using this frame as a static anchor, I fed the composition boundaries back into the generative model to overwrite only the background and floor plates, yielding the distinct hyper-textured environments.

Post-Production

Sound, Type, and Brand Fusion

I assembled and stitched the final asset plates into a fast-paced, high-impact commercial inside the post-production timeline. The entire edit was cut to the driving rhythm of the song "Places to Be" by Fred again.., building visual energy with every match-cut. To finish the spec ad with a premium commercial identity, I integrated clean Nike branding, setting the on-screen typography in Nike's signature bold, condensed geometric typeface family

The Nike logo is the property of Nike Inc.
